This Snail

This snail has stayed still for so long it may have become a rock.

Its lungs inflate through osmosis and its glands secrete out of habit.

Boredom makes it eat.

Tablets impose sleep.

This snail is pretty sure it's still alive

But wishes someone would poke it with a stick to make sure.
